The Government of Punjab, School Education Department, has officially announced the Punjab Summer Vacations 2026 schedule for all public and private schools across the province. According to the latest notification, summer holidays will begin on 22 May 2026 and continue until 23 August 2026. Schools will reopen on 24 August 2026 (Monday).
SO(ACAD-I)1-31/2025. Consequent upon approval of the Competent Authority, it is hereby notified that summer Vacations in all Public and Private Schools across the Province of Punjab shall be observed with effect from 22.05.2026 to 23.08.2026. All schools will resume on 24.08.2026 (Monday).
2. All Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of District Education Authorities throughout Punjab, shall ensure strict compliance, accordingly.
Accordingly, this decision was approved by the competent authority in order to protect students and teachers from the intense summer heat across Punjab. As a result, the notification has been applied to all districts as well as to every educational institution operating under the School Education Department.
